File preparation.

A few checks before upload can make quoting faster and reduce surprises once the part reaches the print bed.

Step 01

Export at the real size

Use millimetres when possible, and include approximate dimensions in the quote form so we can catch scale issues early.

Step 02

Make the model watertight

Closed solids print more reliably. If you are unsure, send the file anyway and we will check it before quoting.

Step 03

Allow for wall thickness

Thin walls, tiny pins, and delicate clips may need adjustment depending on material and process.

Step 04

Add reference images

Photos, sketches, screenshots, and notes help us understand orientation, finish, assembly, and any critical faces.

Step 05

Group related files

For assemblies, upload a ZIP with every part and name files clearly so quantities and colours are easy to understand.

Not sure if it is ready?

Upload what you have. We will inspect the file and tell you what needs to change before money is spent on a print.
